Victoria opener Aaron Finch has refused to make excuses for the Bushrangers' Twenty20 flop this summer, claiming the defending champions were simply outclassed with both bat and ball.Victoria's hopes of reaching the finals were extinguished in crushing fashion on Tuesday night as Western Australia cruised to a six-wicket victory with 17 balls to spare, reaching 4-146 in reply to the visitors' 8-145.The Bushrangers' third loss from four games left them rooted to the bottom of the table, with little else but pride to fight for in the final two games.Advertisement: Story continues below
"We've dominated this competition for five years now and to bow out now so early in the piece with two games to go is really disappointing," Finch said."I don't think we've fired at all with either bat or ball in this competition so far."I suppose it doesn't help when you've got a couple of experienced, key players out in Whitey (Cameron White) and Huss (David Hussey)."But it's no excuse."We've still got a lot of talent and a lot of experience there."It's just disappointing to be finished so early in this competition."
