The European Tour will go to Morocco for this week's tournament but there is actually a lot of action in April. Up next on the European Tour calendar is the Master's Tournament, April 7^th through the 10^th at the Augusta National in Georgia in the United States for a huge prize purse, and then onto the Maybank Malaysian Open from April 14^th through the 17^th. This week's tournament is called the Trophee Hassan II and it happens at the Golf du Palais Royal and Golf de L'Ocean in Agadir, Morocco and this tournament is worth a million and a half Euros and it played from March 31^stto April 3^rd. This tournament has only been held one time before, and that was last year at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. The tournament was held on March 18^th last year, and Rhys Davies walked away with a big cut of the €1,361,205 prize purse. This year, we'll see if he is able to take it again or if someone else will take it.

 

The field this year includes Rhys Davies and many other great golfers. Chris Wood will be playing along withMichael Campbell, Stephen Dodd, David Horsey, Danny Willetti and Thomas Bjorn. Also, Anthony Kang will be in attendance as well as Gregory Bourdy, Oksar Henningsson and Nick Doughterty as well as Michael Jonzon. March 18^th through the 21^st will be another European Tour Golf event, this one called the Trophee Hassan IIlive at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam which is in Rabat, Morocco, and this is the first for this event, making its debut on the European Tour stage and it is the second event on the Tour to be held in Morocco. The Hassan may be new to the European Tour but the event has been held since 1987 at this same venue, the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam and its debut year it was won by Howard Clark. The event ran from 1992 through 2001 with Ian Poulter winning the event most recently. The course that these European Tour players will be competing on is a Par 73, with 7,359 yards of space to play on, and more than 229, 000 Euros waiting for the winner. Second place will get just over 150,000 and third place will receive a check for 86,075 Euros.
