As for the Sicilian Open, it happens March 17th through the 20th at the Donnafugato Golf Resort and Spa in Sicily, Italy for a million Euros. The Dannafugato Golf Resort and Spa is a Par 71 course and it is 7,182 yards. The Sicilian Open has no history because this is the first year the tournament has been held. The sport of golf is just starting to take hold in Italy with the Molinaris and Matteo Manassero showing what is possible. This is just one of two events on the European Tour that are played in Italy in the 2011 season.
The Sicilian Open will be held this week along with several other tournament in March. The Open de Andalucia de Golf at the Parador de Malaga Golf, in Malaga, Spain from March 24th through the 27th for a million Euros. Then, March 31st through April 3rd will be the Trophee Hassan II, held at the Gold du Palais Royal and Golf de L'Ocean in Agadir, Morocco.
